Today, 233 passengers departed from Katowice on a non-stop journey to Costa Rica. This was the inaugural Rainbow charter flight to Guanacaste Airport, operated by LOT Polish Airlines onboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. For the first time, travelers can reach this exotic destination directly from Katowice without the need for any transfers.

For the first time in history, passengers have flown from Katowice to Costa Rica non-stop, thanks to a charter service organized by Rainbow Tours.

The inaugural flight departed on 5 November shortly after 9:35 a.m. A LOT Polish Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner carried 233 passengers, who began their journey with Rainbow to the country often referred to as the “Switzerland of Central America.”

Rainbow’s new charter connection serves Guanacaste Airport, located in northwestern Costa Rica, a region renowned for its beautiful beaches, tropical nature, and remarkable landscape diversity. Thanks to this service, travelers can reach their destination without layovers, significantly enhancing the comfort of such a long-haul journey.

The flight is operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a wide-body long-range aircraft designed for intercontinental travel. The journey begins at Katowice Airport.

After approximately 13 hours in the air, passengers will arrive at Guanacaste Airport, where they will be welcomed by local authorities in traditional fashion and experience the true meaning of “Pura Vida.”

And this is not the end of the inaugural flights. November is shaping up to be an exceptionally busy month at Katowice Airport. On Monday, 9 November, another inaugural Rainbow charter flight will take place. This time, passengers will embark on a direct journey to Vietnam, heading to the leisure destination of Mui Ne. It will be another long-haul service operated non-stop from Katowice Airport.
